Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup water, warm
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup ube halaya (purple yam jam)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine the softened butter and warm water until smooth.
  3. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface, then let it rest for 30 minutes.

  6. Divide the dough into small balls and flatten them.
