Description

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mixture.
  5. Gradually sift in the flour and gently fold until no streaks remain.
  6. Spoon the batter into a piping bag and pipe 3-inch long strips onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar.
  8. Use the lady fingers in your favorite tiramisu recipe.
