  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Allow the cake to cool completely before removing it from the pan.
  7. To make the cheesecake layer, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla; beat until fluffy.
  8. Spread the cheesecake mixture on top of the cooled red velvet cake.
  9. Top with sliced fresh strawberries.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
