- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, butter, and salt until crumbly.
- Press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and vanilla extract.
- Pour the cream mixture over the crumb base in the dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top of the cream layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a stronger vanilla flavor, use vanilla bean paste instead of extract.
