Description

This Thai peanut sauce is creamy, savory, slightly sweet, and a little spicy—perfect for dipping, drizzling, and dressing noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (unsweetened)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 12 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/21 tsp chili garlic sauce or sriracha (optional)
  • 1/41/3 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and chili sauce.
  2. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  3. Slowly add warm water while whisking to reach desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed—more lime for tang, honey for sweetness, chili sauce for heat.

Notes

  • Use natural unsweetened peanut butter for the best flavor.
  • Substitute maple syrup for a vegan version.
  • Add water gradually to control thickness.
  • Stores well in the fridge up to 1 week.
