This Stuffed Cabbage Roll Casserole combines the flavors of traditional stuffed cabbage rolls with the convenience of a casserole. It’s made with turkey bacon for a healthier twist on a classic dish.

- 1 pound ground turkey
- 8 slices turkey bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 head cabbage, chopped
- 2 cups rice, cooked
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the ground turkey and cook until browned. Add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked rice, tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, parsley, cooked turkey, and turkey bacon.
- Layer the chopped cabbage in a baking dish, then spread the meat mixture over the cabbage.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in some shredded cheese before serving.
- Feel free to adjust the seasonings to your taste.
