Description

A delicious and refreshing dessert that combines the flavors of strawberries, pretzels, and cream.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz whipped topping
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool.
  4. In another bowl, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  6. In a separate bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Let it cool slightly, then add sliced strawberries.
  7. Carefully pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, add fresh mint leaves for garnish.
  • Can be made a day in advance for best results.
