- 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour and salt, then gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, strawberries, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet, and create a small indent in the center of each.
- Fill the indent with the cream cheese mixture.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For an extra strawberry flavor, add some strawberry extract to the cream cheese filling.
- If you like a crunch, consider adding some crushed graham crackers to the cookie dough.
