Description

A delicious twist on the classic Shepherd’s Pie using tater tots and turkey bacon for a delightful flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas and carrots)
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups tater tots
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the ground turkey and cook until browned.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, turkey bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish evenly.
  6. Top with tater tots and cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
