- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped turkey bacon, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Add beef broth to the skillet, bring to a simmer, and cover. Cook for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry. Stir into the skillet and cook until the sauce thickens.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
- You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
