  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, combine the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until combined.
