Description

Discover the secrets to achieving perfectly juicy and flavorful pan-seared steaks that will impress any meat lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Remove steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for about 4 minutes on one side, without moving them.
  5. Flip the steaks and add the smashed garlic and rosemary to the skillet.
  6. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, basting with melted butter.
  7. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the steaks overnight with your favorite seasoning.
  • Allow the skillet to get really hot for the best sear.
