- 4 pieces osso buco
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup white wine
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Brown the osso buco on all sides and remove from the pot.
- Add onions and garlic to the pot, cooking until soft.
- Pour in the white wine, scraping the bottom of the pot.
- Add the beef broth, thyme, and bay leaf, then return the osso buco to the pot.
- Cover and simmer for about 2 hours until tender.
- Serve with creamy puré on the side.
Notes
- For added flavor, let the meat marinate in the wine overnight.
