Description

A delicious twist on the classic burger with turkey bacon and pizza flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional: sliced pepperoni


Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, cooked turkey bacon (chopped), mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  4. Grill or cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until they are fully cooked.
  5. Optional: add sliced pepperoni on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Serve the patties on hamburger buns with extra pizza sauce if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the turkey with spices prior to cooking.
  • Feel free to add your favorite pizza toppings to the burgers.
