Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and the yeast mixture.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut into circles.
  5. Place a spoonful of Nutella on half of the circles and cover with the other half. Seal the edges.
  6. Fry the donuts in hot oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from oil and let them drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
