Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup Nutella
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and the yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of Nutella on half of the circles and cover with the other half. Seal the edges.
- Fry the donuts in hot oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and let them drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Use a thermometer to check the oil temperature for perfect frying.
