- 2 pounds fresh strawberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries.
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, salt, black peppercorns, mustard seeds, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil.
- Add strawberries and reduce heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Pack strawberries into sterilized jars while hot.
- Pour the pickling liquid over the strawberries, making sure they are fully submerged.
- Seal jars and allow to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
Notes
- Let the pickles sit for at least 24 hours before enjoying for the best flavor.
