- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 cup lemon-flavored sponge cake or ladyfingers
- 1 cup brewed lemon tea or lemon-flavored beverage
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Dip each sponge cake or ladyfinger into the brewed lemon tea briefly, then layer them in a serving dish.
- Add a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top of the sponge cake.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone mixture on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to set.
- Before serving, dust the top with powdered sugar.
Notes
- For a stronger lemon flavor, add more lemon zest.
- Chill the dessert longer for a firmer consistency.
