- 1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1 (3 oz) package lemon Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 cup lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, sugar, and melted butter. Mix well and press into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes and let it cool completely.
- In another bowl, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping and spread over the cooled pretzel crust.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve lemon Jell-O in boiling water. Stir in cold water and lemon juice.
- Pour the lemon mixture over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.
- Cut into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
- For a sweeter dessert, adjust the amount of sugar in the cream cheese layer.
- Make sure to let the dessert set completely before serving for best results.
