Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Gradually blend in 1 1/2 cups of flour and salt until the dough comes together.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and place it in a pie dish.
- Fill the crust with the apple mixture, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
