Ingredients

  • 4 cups ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 packet fruit pectin


Instructions

  1. Prepare your jars and lids by sterilizing them in boiling water.
  2. In a large pot, combine the chopped peaches and lemon juice. Mash the peaches slightly.
  3. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  4. Once boiling, add the pectin and bring back to a rolling boil for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and ladle the jam into hot jars, leaving a 1/4-inch headspace.
  6. Wipe the rims of the jars, place the lids on, and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
  7. Allow the jars to cool completely before storing.

Notes

  • For a chunky texture, leave some peach pieces unmashed.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of sugar based on your taste.
