- 4 cups ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 packet fruit pectin
Instructions
- Prepare your jars and lids by sterilizing them in boiling water.
- In a large pot, combine the chopped peaches and lemon juice. Mash the peaches slightly.
- Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently.
- Once boiling, add the pectin and bring back to a rolling boil for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and ladle the jam into hot jars, leaving a 1/4-inch headspace.
- Wipe the rims of the jars, place the lids on, and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
- Allow the jars to cool completely before storing.
Notes
- For a chunky texture, leave some peach pieces unmashed.
- Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of sugar based on your taste.
