- 4 cups sliced peaches
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the sliced peaches and 1/2 cup sugar. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Stir in melted butter and vanilla until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Layer the peach mixture over the crust, then sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in a bit of nutmeg.
