Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Using a donut cutter, cut out donuts and carefully place them in the hot oil.
- Fry donuts for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove donuts and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth; dip the warm donuts into the glaze.
Notes
- Allow donuts to cool slightly before glazing to prevent the glaze from melting.
