Description

This Crockpot Cabbage Roll Casserole combines the comforting flavors of traditional cabbage rolls with the ease of a slow cooker, making it perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, brown the ground turkey until fully cooked.
  3. In your crockpot, layer the chopped cabbage, cooked rice, ground turkey, and crumbled turkey bacon.
  4. Pour the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the top.
  5. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
