A delightful and innovative take on traditional wonton cups filled with crispy shrimp.


Ingredients

  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a muffin tin and press the wonton wrappers into the cups.
  3. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  4. In a bowl, combine shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, green onions, bell pepper, cornstarch, and egg. Mix well.
  5. Spoon the shrimp mixture into the baked wonton cups.
  6. Bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until the shrimp are cooked through.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
