- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mixed fruits (such as strawberries, bananas, and kiwi)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, mix the milk, sugar, and salt over medium heat until hot.
- In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch with a little cold milk to make a slurry.
- Once the milk mixture is hot, stir in the cornstarch slurry and continue to cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add vanilla extract and remove from heat.
- Let it cool slightly, then layer in a bowl with mixed fruits.
- Chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving.

- For a richer flavor, you can substitute some of the milk with heavy cream.
