Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mixed fruits (such as strawberries, bananas, and kiwi)


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, mix the milk, sugar, and salt over medium heat until hot.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch with a little cold milk to make a slurry.
  3. Once the milk mixture is hot, stir in the cornstarch slurry and continue to cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
  4. Add vanilla extract and remove from heat.
  5. Let it cool slightly, then layer in a bowl with mixed fruits.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving.
