- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced thinly
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until they are softened.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir well to coat.
- Gradually add the beef broth, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Lower the heat and mix in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.

- For extra richness, you can add a splash of heavy cream.
