Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until they are softened.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir well to coat.
  5. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
  6. Lower the heat and mix in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
