- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onions until fully cooked.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, then half of the beef mixture, and half of the cheese.
- Repeat the layers and pour the cream of mushroom soup mixed with milk over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

- For extra flavor, add herbs such as thyme or parsley.
- Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
