Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Add the cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with dried parsley.
- Brush the melted butter mixture over the biscuits right after they come out of the oven.
Notes
- For best results, use cold butter and buttermilk.
- These biscuits are best served warm.
