- 1 box vanilla cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, milk, and oil. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the cake with a fork.
- In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle this mixture over the cake, letting it seep into the holes.
- In another bowl, mix the maple syrup and cinnamon. Drizzle this mixture over the top of the cake.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can top the cake with whipped cream or extra cinnamon.
- This cake can also be made a day in advance for best results.
