- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the chopped onion and chicken broth.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Shred the chicken and return it to the pot.
- Add egg noodles and frozen peas, then stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, sauté the onion before adding it to the slow cooker.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or celery.
