- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and sour cream until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer, then dollop with cherry pie filling.
- Top with the remaining brownie batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For an extra touch, top brownies with whipped cream and fresh cherries.
