Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  6. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and sour cream until smooth.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer, then dollop with cherry pie filling.
  8. Top with the remaining brownie batter.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
