- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
- Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Spread this cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
- Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer, and top with the remaining brownie batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
- Let brownies sit overnight for improved flavor.
