Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan, then layer with the cheesecake mixture, and top with the remaining brownie batter.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes
