  • 8 ounces marzipan
  • 1/2 cup grated chocolate
  • 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Stir in the candied citrus peel.
  3. Soak the sponge cake layers in rum or Marsala wine.
  4. Layer the soaked sponge cake and the ricotta mixture in a mold, repeating until all ingredients are used.
