A delicious and easy recipe for a warm cabbage soup, featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham.

- 1 head green cabbage
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup chicken ham, diced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add turkey bacon and cook until crispy, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add onion, carrots, and celery, cooking until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in chicken ham and chopped cabbage, cooking until the cabbage begins to wilt.
- Add chicken broth, salt, pepper, and thyme; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.
- Chop the turkey bacon and stir it back into the soup before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, omit turkey bacon and use vegetable broth.
