- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup whipped cream, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a baking dish to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes and then let it cool.
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, sugar, and cornstarch. Whisk together and cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Layer the sliced bananas over the cooled crust, then pour the cream mixture on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Top with whipped cream before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use ripe but firm bananas to avoid mushiness.
- Feel free to add a sprinkle of chocolate shavings on top for extra flavor!
