Description

Delightfully moist and decadent, these banana bars topped with a rich vanilla and browned butter glaze are the perfect treat for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool completely before adding the glaze.
