Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add vegetable oil and warm water to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth, then cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  4. In a skillet, sauté onion and green chilies until softened. Add chopped turkey bacon, cumin, black pepper, and parsley. Mix well and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into thin circles.
  6. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle and fold the edges over to seal.
  7. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry each stuffed pancake until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
