Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups watermelon, cubed
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice


Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the cubed watermelon and water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher.
  3. Add in the lime juice, honey/agave, and stir well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the chia seeds and let them sit for about 10 minutes until they expand.
  5. Once the chia seeds have expanded, mix them into the watermelon mixture.
  6. Chop the fresh basil leaves and stir them in gently.
  7. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve chilled with ice and enjoy!
