- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 6–8 mozzarella balls or cubes (1 inch)
- Olive oil for browning
- Marinara sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix ground meat, spinach, garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Take 2 tablespoons of mixture, flatten, place mozzarella in the center, and roll into a ball.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown meatballs on all sides (2–3 minutes per side).
- Transfer to the baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, until cooked through and cheese is melted.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce if desired.
