Description

Cheesy, garlicky, and rich, these Olive Garden-style stuffed mushrooms are perfect as an appetizer or side dish for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1618 large white mushrooms (stems removed and reserved)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (plus more for brushing)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel, remove stems and chop them finely.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet, sauté garlic and chopped stems for 2–3 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, mix the sautéed mixture with breadcrumbs, Parmesan, cream cheese, mozzarella, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff each mushroom cap generously. Optional: drizzle with melted butter.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make ahead: You can prepare the mushrooms and refrigerate them unbaked for up to 24 hours.
  • Want more flavor? Add chopped crab or red bell pepper to the filling.
  • Use panko for a crunchier texture.
