Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame)
- Salt & black pepper to taste

- 1/2 cup shredded carrots (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to package instructions. Keep warm.

- Add the cornstarch slurry. Stir and cook until thickened, about 1–2 minutes.
- Return the beef to the skillet, add pineapple chunks, and stir to coat. Heat through for 2 minutes.
- Assemble bowls: rice first, then beef and pineapple. Garnish with carrots, green onions, and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Use tofu or chicken for a protein swap.
- For extra spice, add sriracha or chili flakes to the sauce.
- Store components separately for meal prep.
- Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
