- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 4 naan breads
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced for naan
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the onions and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute.
- Add the beef cubes and brown on all sides.
- Sprinkle in the spices and stir until fragrant.
- Pour in the diced tomatoes and beef broth, followed by the brown sugar.
- Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours, until the beef is tender.
- For the naan, mix garlic with melted butter and brush it over each naan.
- Serve the curry with warm naan, garnished with fresh cilantro.
