- 2 pounds beef roast
- 2 large onions
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Season the beef roast with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the roast on all sides.
- Remove the roast and set aside. In the same skillet, add chopped onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Return the roast to the skillet, add beef broth, and thyme.
- Cover and transfer to the oven. Roast for 2-3 hours until tender.
- Slice the beef and serve with onions and broth.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef overnight.
- Serve with bread or noodles to soak up the gravy.
