Description

A delightfully simple dessert, Strawberry Dump Cake combines juicy strawberries with a golden cake layer in a no-fuss recipe perfect for any gathering or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 quarts fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 box (approx. 15.25 oz) white or yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: sugar, whipped cream, or ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If using fresh strawberries, wash, hull, and slice them. Place strawberries in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the strawberries. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring it covers most of the mix.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the strawberries are bubbly.
  5. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream, if desired.

Notes

  • If using frozen strawberries, there’s no need to thaw them first.
  • For a richer flavor, try adding a layer of sliced almonds over the cake mix before baking.
