Description
A delightfully simple dessert, Strawberry Dump Cake combines juicy strawberries with a golden cake layer in a no-fuss recipe perfect for any gathering or a cozy night in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 quarts fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 box (approx. 15.25 oz) white or yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- Optional: sugar, whipped cream, or ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If using fresh strawberries, wash, hull, and slice them. Place strawberries in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the strawberries. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring it covers most of the mix.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the strawberries are bubbly.
- Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream, if desired.
Notes
- If using frozen strawberries, there’s no need to thaw them first.
- For a richer flavor, try adding a layer of sliced almonds over the cake mix before baking.
