- 2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions
- Prepare the pie crust according to package or recipe instructions and let it cool.
- In a saucepan, combine cornstarch and water, stir until smooth. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens.
- Once thickened, mix in half of the sliced strawberries and mash them slightly. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
