- 12 ounces pasta shells
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine fresh spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each pasta shell with the spinach and cheese mixture.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce in a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells on top, then cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add herbs like basil or oregano to the cheese mixture.
- Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set.
