A delightful recipe for slow-roasted ribs smothered in a rich blackberry BBQ sauce.

- 2 racks beef ribs
- 1 cup blackberry preserves
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Place the ribs in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast in the oven for 3 hours.
- While the ribs are roasting, prepare the sauce by combining blackberry preserves, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until bubbling.
- Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the foil, and brush the ribs with the blackberry sauce.
- Return to the oven and roast for an additional 30 minutes, uncovered.
- Serve warm with extra sauce on the side.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, let the ribs rest for 15 minutes after roasting.
- Adjust the sweetness of the sauce by adding more or less sugar based on your preference.
