Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Sear the roast on all sides in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
  4. Transfer the seared roast to the slow cooker.
  5. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce to the slow cooker.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  7. Once done, shred the beef using two forks and mix into the juices in the slow cooker.
