- 3 pounds chuck roast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Sear the roast on all sides in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Transfer the seared roast to the slow cooker.
- Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Once done, shred the beef using two forks and mix into the juices in the slow cooker.
