- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into pieces
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add asparagus to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, until tender.
- Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes if using. Bring to a simmer.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to combine. Add spaghetti and mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
